ST MIRREN must surely welcome the warm weather and the end of hibernation that comes with it.
Dormice are emerging from the shadows these days, but down Greenhill Road, it's the emergence of the Dorman at a key stage of the football season that has everyone talking.

Andy added to his goalscoring tally with a vital strike against Hibs on Monday night, and probably should have had another as Saints performed heroically yet only earned a solitary point for their efforts.

The Buddies now sit four points clear of Falkirk in the SPL, just one game before the split and the point in the season where the relegation dogfight becomes a battle for survival.

Gus MacPherson reckoned his side were the dominant force and was left rueing his luck, not for the first time this season.

He said: "Bar the mistake we made in the 45th minute, we were in total control of the game.

"We probably created better chances in the second half and that speaks volumes for the players. It's probably the best we've played at the new stadium.

"We had a few choice words at half-time and they reacted in a fantastic manner. On another night we could've scored two or three in the second half.

"It's going to be tough. It all depends on how we play on the day and we've played well this season. We created a load of chances but it was either the final ball or the finish that was lacking.

"We'll continue to be positive and we'll see how many players we have left for Saturday's game with Motherwell."

And of course he also had a few choice words for the midfield dynamo Dorman: "A midfield player who scores goals is important to any team and he's a real threat for us. He' obviously doing something right to get into double figures."

Dorman hit his third goal in three games midway through the first half to give Saints the lead, but it was pegged back on the stroke of half-time by Scotland striker Steven Fletcher.

Dorman saw another effort go wide of the post in he second half and Saints' stopper Mark Howard rescued a point by stopping Sol Bamba's header late on.
