YOU'LL never feel as patriotic as you will once you've seen this show.
A History of Scotland (in 60 minutes or less) at Paisley arts centre is a production guaranteed to stir the blood and give you a craving for haggis and bannocks.
You will meet the kings, queens, heroes and villains who helped shape Scotland's past.
There will be stories, songs and over-excitement from the Picts, Romans, Vikings and Scots.
Tania Dron (31) co-created the piece with fellow actors Andy Thomson and David Wallace.
She told Live (logo): "It's basically what the title suggests – it's a history of Scotland… in 60 minutes or less.
"We wanted to do a show that could be enjoyed by everyone, and we realised everyone is passionate about Scottish history. This is for children but adults can get into it as well".
The group wanted to focus on some events that were maybe not as well known as famous dates, and have "certainly not have films made about them".
Tania explained: "There are some battles in the show, which are admittedly hard to do as there are only three of us on the stage – so we portray them in fun ways, such as in playground settings or as party games".
There is some audience participation as well as viewers become the Scottish army in a portrayal of the Battle of Bannockburn.
But Tania's favourite part is slightly more twisted.
She told Live (logo): "My favourite bit in the show is the piece on witchcraft. It focuses on how people were treated and often killed if they were suspected of being witches".
A History of Scotland is the first thing Tania and friends have done together, and they hope it won't be the last.
Tania said: "We plan to do something else soon – something factual, but which only focuses on one thing".
Until then, you can catch A History of Scotland (in 60 minutes or less) at Paisley arts centre on Saturday, which is suitable for children aged five and up. The show starts at 3pm and tickets are £6. Call the box office on 887 1010.
