ITS name may suggest otherwise but five-piece band Decoy is definitely the real thing.
Purveying a "rocked-up indie sound mixed with folk" it has been around for a year and gigs "as far afield as we can manage," says guitarist Euan Robertson.
With singer Chris Gough, bassist Iain Paton, drummer Iain Mcrury and occasional singer and violinist Cat Calton, the line-up is unusual in at least one respect.
All its members are in their 20s —except 51-year-old Iain Mcrury. But it was their shared tastes in music that brought them together.
Euan (24) told Scene: "Iain Paton and I are cousins and I met Chris on a school trip, where we realised we loved Oasis and that sort of 90s thing.
"We all have similar taste and I would say our preferences have developed a bit — we like older stuff from the 60s and 70s now, such as The Who and Led Zeppelin."
The boys met violinist Cat through other bands and their drummer was recruited after Euan met him through work at The Wise Group — a social enterprise which helps people back into work.
Euan, who lives in Glasgow, revealed the band became aware of the Paisley music scene after seeing Cat's other band, Hercules Mandarin, play in the town.
Decoy has been together for about a year Euan told Scene: "We've played a lot in Paisley, Glasgow and Edinburgh and our last gig was in Kilmarnock.
"We're hoping to book a lot more gigs over the summer and do a tour further up north, or down in England."
Decoy has also been busy in the recording studio and three- track EP Better Day can be downloaded at
